Get To Know Dr. Kwon
Dr. Tae Kwon is a renowned orthodontist whose educational journey began at UCLA, where he completed his undergraduate and dental studies. He advanced his specialization at the University of Connecticut (UConn), earning a master's degree in orthodontics. During his time at UConn, Dr. Kwon was appointed as a visiting research scientist at Yale School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, where he conducted pivotal research on Orthognathic surgery outcomes using Invisalign.
Today, Dr. Kwon continues his academic involvement as an adjunct faculty member at UConn, where he teaches upcoming dental professionals. His commitment to the field is evident in his dedication to incorporating cutting-edge technology and techniques into his practice. Dr. Kwon's approach to orthodontics is deeply rooted in a desire to provide personalized care that not only achieves aesthetic goals but also enhances overall dental health.

I chose to get Invisalign and he was always so professional and helpful through the process. I am amazed by my results. My issues were pretty much fixed in less than 8 months. I consulted TK Orthodontics after I noticed a shift in my teeth after having traditional braces removed 30 + years ago. Dr. Kwon recommended Invisalign. In just 15 short months and with Dr. Kwon’s expertise, my alignment is perfect. It’s even better than when I originally got my braces off. Dr. Kwon and his staff are professional, efficient, and organized. But also kind, caring, and friendly which makes for a present experience during appointments. I couldn’t have found a better orthodontic practice for my Invisalign installation. Dr. Kwon is amazing! Love his staff as well! They work with you on appointments and we never have to wait long for my daughter to be seen. They always answer all your questions with such a positive attitude as well. Would highly recommend this office!
I’ve been a patient for over 6 months now. The staff and Dr. Kwon are very attentive and are very welcoming. At first, I wasn’t sure whether to get Invisalign or braces, but Dr. Kwon was prepared to answer my questions clearly I ultimately decided to get Invisalign. It’s just as efficient as braces! It is a slow process but you will definitely see results around the 6 months mark!
I have been going to Dr. Haven’s and Dr. Kwon's for about three years now and I recommend everyone who’s looking to get braces to them. Dr. Kwon has taken over for Dr. Haven but the level of care and hospitality has not changed one bit. I had to get braces a second time and I’m so glad I went to them for the second time because my braces journey was amazing and they listened to all my concerns and made sure I was ready and comfortable with getting my braces off. Definitely, definitely recommend!!
I have been a patient for about two years now. This office has the nicest staff, from the receptionist to the dental assistants. In my time with them, I have never had a bad experience. They do whatever it takes to keep you comfortable and pain-free. I was happy with the services provided that my daughter is now a patient too!
Dr. Kwon is the best around. I had such a great experience here and was in good hands. He was very thorough and patient with me. Answered all and any questions I had. I was excited to bring my oldest son in for braces! So now we’re both taken care of by Dr. Kwon.
I began at this office 20 years ago for my first set of braces so I’ve been 3 or 4 doctors and may hygienists. All were great when I was a kid and now as an adult. Most recently, I came back for Invisalign and Dr. Kwon was very helpful and gave the perfect treatment to straighten my teeth. Everyone in the office is accommodating when I have to bring my baby to appointments. I’m very happy with my treatment!

One of the best orthodontists in Los Angeles is Dr. Kwon. I visited three different orthodontists before I found him. The front desk staff are lovely and kind. They don’t make you fill out unnecessary paperwork. The office is spotless and not overcrowded. Dr. Kwon is very kind and explains everything very clearly, so you know exactly what you’re getting done. There is no confusion. If you are looking for an orthodontist, I highly recommend Dr. Kwon. You’re in good hands!
Amazing experience thus far! Dr. Kwon & his staff are phenomenal! I’m currently a patient and had a difficult invisalign case Dr. Kwon took on the challenge and I am AMAZED by the results as of now! My 10-year-old has recently completed her phase 1 orthodontics under the amazing care of Dr. Kwon and his team. Dr. Kwon’s professionalism and attention to detail are top-notch, and he and his staff have always gone above and beyond to make sure my daughter felt comfortable throughout the whole process and well taken care of. Invisalign with Dr. Kwon and his staff has been an excellent experience for our first daughter so we're moving forward to do the same with our second. Dr. Haven, Dr. Kwon and their staff are amazing. They are always really friendly and remember things about you that make you feel as though they know you on a personal basis.
